Admissions Procedure
Admissions Procedure Admission opens each March for the coming year. However admission will be accepted throughout the year should space be available.

Steps for Admission
  1. Contact Santa Margarita Children’s Center and arrange for an interview and tour.  Best time for a tour is mid-morning Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday.  

  2. Families interested call (415)499-1277 and ask for Arleen(Director) or email at office@smccenter.us to book a tour. Admission form, yearly calendar, and tuition sheet will be given to you at that time.  We recommend that you do your initial preschool searches without children until you have narrowed it down to two or three places.   On your final visits, families have found it helpful to bring their child to see how they react to the environment. We recommend that you do your initial preschool searches without children until you have narrowed it down to two or three places.   On your final visits, families have found it helpful to bring their child to see how they react to the environment. 

  3. Once you have made your decision to enroll, fill out the admissions form and return it with non-refundable registration fee.  A letter confirming your acceptance and a full enrollment packet will be mailed to you.  The packet will include permission forms, health history forms, child entry questionnaire, and physician’s report signed by the pediatrician, licensing forms, and forms which will give us the necessary information we need to do our best work with your child.    All forms must be completed and returned with a ½ month deposit to secure your child’s enrollment.  This deposit is non-refundable and will be used towards your child’s last month.   Please note:  Forms must be completed before entry into the Center.

    As a final step arrange several "visits" prior to your child’s first day.  This will be helpful in ensuring a smooth transition into our Center.
